Fun pics, visit with Aunt Jen, Gymboree and 28 week sono

Isaac still loves his doggie - this is the scene I come home to most days, Isaac and Wilson waiting at the door. I like to think they are looking for me, but the big excitement is when the mailwoman comes - both Isaac and Wilson go crazy (one barks and lunges at her, the other one waves and jumps up and down saying "hi mailman, hi mailman" and amazingly, she still comes back to deliver our mail every day! Isaac now likes to try to hold the leash when we take Wilson for walks. Not necessarily as much fun for Wilson who doesn't get very far very quickly...
Isaac's new favorite thing is playing in the car, he is entertained for long periods of time just sitting in the driver's seat and pushing buttons and jumping back and forth from the front to the back. He also thinks he's a big boy now and refuses to sit in the infant swing and only likes to sit on the big-boy swing, and climbs all over the equipment at the park all by himself.

Isaac is still having lots of fun with his friends, especially Lussa. Here he is below cuddling with Lussa at the Arboretum and the library, chugging juice at the park with Lussa and Noah (cesi's nephew) and hanging out and reading a book with Charlie who spent the afternoon with Isaac and Cesi while Genevieve had a meeting.

Finally, we had a really fun visit with Aunt Jen last week when she was in town for an AIPAC meeting. She came a day early and spoiled Isaac rotten with gifts from his cousins, and we ran her around for 2 days with lots of activities including the grocery store (big fun for Isaac who loves to run up and down the aisles yelling "come and get me" and flirting with the bread ladies to get free samples), the park and our Monday Gymboree tumbling class, and then she came with me for my 28 week doctor's visit and sonogram. It was so great having her here, we were both very sad to say goodbye :(

So these 3D sonogram pics usually freak me out (and in the other two it definitely looks like her face is melting), but I think this one isn't too scary looking and you can actually see her face (use your imagination)!!

Truck touch, Philly and Goodbye Kruses

We took Isaac to a daycare fundraiser called "Truck Touch" where there were all different kinds of vehicles like trucks, tractors, boats and police cars and the kids were allowed to climb in and on them and push buttons and take control of the steering wheel. What could be more fun for a baby boy?? Isaac enjoyed the jeep, and the tractor, and the big trucks, and even the boat, but he really liked the police car where the officer let him honk the horn and yell in the walkie talkie and even make the siren blare, but nothing could top the school bus - he loved loved loved the school bus (driving, opening the windows, running up and down the aisle, jumping between the seats...)and whenever we were able to peel him out of it, we didn't get far before he took off and ran back to climb back on. We definitely spent a majority of the day on the school bus, but it was lots of fun and we ran into the all the yoga mamas and babies and had fun watching each of the boys' reaction.

We took a quick overnight trip to Philly to hang out with our friends Jared and Kristen and to meet their twin girls Audry and Sophia and to hang out with their daughter Gabriella. All the girls are adorable and we can't believe what rockstars J&K are keeping up with all three like it's no big deal. We're apprehensive enough about baby #2!

On a less fun note, Karen and Gabe moved to Colorado last week :( Isaac and Colin had one last playdate before they made the cross-country voyage and we all had fun at library storytime and playing afterward at our house. We miss them already but are excited about their fun new life in Denver and we know we will see them again soon!

Easter Party and other fun DC activities with Cesi and Cherry Blossoms with Grandma

Okay, we have lots of pictures to post!! First, Cesi took Isaac to an Easter party at the library where they read books, sung songs and got to meet the Easter bunny. Isaac apparently loved the first two activities, but was terrified of the bunny...

Cesi usually sends us pictures in the morning of the cute outfit she dressed Isaac in or the funky way she fixed his hair (product??) which we love getting. Then they are off for the morning, meeting up on most days with Lussa and Cole and Cesi's mom Carmen and her cousin Gabby. Over the past few weeks Isaac and his buddies have enjoyed lots of fun field trips, what a lucky boy to have so much fun during the day! Here are some pictures of the outfits, hairdo's and fun outings with his buds:
At the park:
At the Merry Go Round on the Mall, where Isaac was apparently initially scared to ride the caballos (horsies) so he and Lussa took the first turn on the bench and then he decided he was ready and begged Cesi to let him go on again covering all his bases by saying "more", signing more and saying mas :) She finally gave in and let him ride twice. He held on tight, concentrating deeply!

And here they are at the Air & Space Museum:

This past weekend, Bill went to his brother's bachelor party weekend, so mom came to hang out with Isaac and me. We all had a blast, and packed each day with multiple park visits, lots of backyard playtime, a field trip to the Cherry Blossoms where we walked all the way around the Tidal Basin to see Jefferson, a matzoh brie cooking lesson for Passover (he loved it) and a shopping trip to get Isaac new shoes. I know mom was sad to leave, but I'm sure she slept very well when she got home!
