Fourteen Months

The past few weeks have been pretty much status quo. Isaac has been fighting off a cold/cough so we've kept it low key in an effort to stave off the dreaded swine flu. We did get a surprise hangout day with Karen and Colin (pre-cold) who had Columbus Day off, which was lots of fun for me and Isaac.

We've been going to watch Bill's soccer games the past few Sundays -- Isaac doesn't necessarily get the cheering concept, but he does love to chase the ball (even when it's in play!). We watch for a few minutes and then wander over to the playground to go down the slide (Isaac is newly obsessed with slides) and then check back in on the game again. This picture was taken by Bill's teammate's wife on the sidelines at last week's game.

We've had some cold days over the past few weeks, and in our effort to find a hat that Isaac will actually keep on his head, we have resorted to one we could strap on. It worked so well on this particular day that Ceci left it on all afternoon and I couldn't bear to take it off when I got home from work.

We went back to the Larriland Farm this weekend to pick more apples and we picked some spinach and broccoli this time too! Having been there before, Isaac was happy to stuff his face with apples again and totally confident to farm the land on his own this time!!

Finally, we cleaned out the basement while Isaac was napping and found some toys that we forgot about. Isaac was having so much fun with this new bath toy that he didn't even notice Bill putting bubbles on his head!
