Caitlin's 4th birthday

I can't believe our baby girl is four!! She is definitely wiser than her years and has a great sense of humor.  She considers herself Isaac's equal in all things - and is only about a minute behind him in most, including reading and flying through the monkey bars! Contrary to Isaac, however, she is a girly-girl at heart.  She loves all things princess, would rather dance than walk, and has a marker or crayon in her hands at all times.  While she's only four, we have already gotten glimpses into what parenting a teenage girl is going to be like :)

We celebrated on two occasions, the first was a princess karaoke party at the Jack and Jill Salon for Cate and 5 friends.  They each came decked out in their princess finest for appointments to get their hair done and manicures.  We set up the party room with decorate-your-own princess mirrors to occupy them in between, and had the Frozen soundtrack queued up in the karaoke machine.  With that plus pizza, a princess cake and princess trivia during dinner - we couldn't have made this group of 4 year old girls happier.
Cate couldn't have been happier - she chose sparkly hot pink for one hand and sparkly purple for the other, with flowers painted in the middle.
She meticulously decorated her mirror using lots of glitter glue and bling.
The girls had a blast belting out Let it Go (over and over...)

They out-princessed us on the trivia - we couldn't stump them!

She cleaned up in the gift department - shockingly, lots of princess themed gifts.
On her actual birthday, we woke her up with toast and a candle and spent the morning putting together Legos from the birthday shopping spree, and hanging out at the playground before the second family celebration began.

We ended up with 12 adults and 11 kids for the family birthday dinner, which featured, per the birthday girl's request, homemade macaroni and cheese.  There was a lot of chaos, but it was a lot of fun for the grown-ups and the kids culminating in a soccer scrimmage with Bill as the goalie, and chocolate cake.

Cate's "stats"" - per Dr Jordan- she's perfect :)
