Isaac is getting so much more verbal and expressive these days, it is so much fun to watch. He can say lots of new words and is really communicating which is exciting - he says lots of words now including: up, hi, bye-bye, water (and agua!), car, truck, doggy, woof, milk, eat, banana, done, mommy, daddy, baby (and more that I'm forgetting), and he can do lots of stuff -- wave, blow kisses, give kisses (still open mouth, but we'll take it!), give hugs, high five, touch his head and nose, touch mommy's nose, turn lights on/off (and on/off, and on/off!), and Bill's favorites- he can kick and throw the ball and even throws his hands up when we say "touch down"!! He is also transitioning to one nap (more of a case of him protesting the second nap!) which is a bit of a challenge. He seems to change it up on us daily (taking a 2 hour nap in the morning and none in the afternoon, protesting the morning and taking a long nap later, or protesting both some days!) so we are trying out a bedtime that is a little earlier while he figures it out because if he skips the afternoon nap, he's a mess by 7:30. In any event, he seems to be changing every day, so it's a good thing he gotten in some quality time over the past few weeks with the Andersons and Papa Rich and Grandma Sherry so they could witness it!

This past weekend we had an early Thanksgiving feast with Isaac's Grandma, Grandpa, Aunt Rachael and Great-Grandma Jo because we will be in Florida this year for the actual holiday. Isaac had so much fun waking up early with the Andersons - they couldn't get over how much he was talking! Rachael came early on Friday to relieve Ceci - and Isaac was so excited to see her he was still squealing and giggling when I got home!!
We kept him up a little late so he could see Grandma, Grandpa and his Great Grandma on Friday night, and he gave everyone big hugs before melting down. Over the weekend Isaac had lots of fun - Aunt Rach and Great-Grandma Jo taught Isaac how to play Patty-Cake, and even got him to "roll it" on cue!! His Great-Grandma also knitted Isaac some beautiful new hats and mittens - with strings on them so Isaac can't throw them across the room! His Grandma got up early with him and experienced the challenge that is getting Isaac to drink all his milk - but she got him to do it!! And we all went out to lunch and took a long walk and just generally had a great weekend.

Isaac also read the paper and watched football with Daddy and Grandpa, played on the computer, and did a great job of making everyone laugh all weekend.

The weekend before last Isaac got to hang out with Papa Rich and Grandma Sherry. We all had a delicious dinner on Friday night for my birthday and then Bill and I got away overnight to The Inn at Perry Cabin in St. Michael's Maryland while they babysat the prince. They all had a great weekend together and Isaac did a great job ensuring his place at the top of "the will" by saying "Papa" and giving big hugs to Papa Rich on command :)

Finally, we got in another fun yoga baby park playdate after work one night last week. The park trips are getting less social for the mamas as the boys become more mobile and more adventurous - we get in about 5 minutes of conversation between running after and catching the babies as they dive off the jungle gyms and down the slides! Wow - I am starting to miss the days of our stationary play-dates!! It really is adorable to watch them interact though - they are so independent and all getting to be real little boys!!
