Isaac and Caitlin's Blog: Caitlin is TWO!!

It is amazing how quickly time flies. I've probably said that repeatedly on this blog, but the idea that my baby girl is turning two is seriously astounding. Caitlin weighed in at 28.4 pounds and measured 35 inches (healthy enough that we were told we could switch from whole milk to 2%!). She watched skeptically through her checkup - not the easiest kid to win over - and begrudgingly let the doctor examine her. She has a BIG personality with lots of attitude, but is a sweetheart most of the time. As she is getting potty trained, she spends a lot of time on the potty and lately when I try to help she says - "mommy, I need privacy"!! She can be very bossy "Mommy, you go over there. Stop it, I'll do it" are phrases heard a lot around the house. But she also can be a pushover and melts if you act like she hurt your feelings. She's still a total girly-girl, which is lots of fun for me :)

Caitlin was such a trooper when we went to Children's to get her 2-year-old blood test- she didn't even shed a tear! Isaac was the only one to cry (because he couldn't have a cool hospital id bracelet like Caitlin!)

Caitlin got the traditional Harris-girl birthday wakeup with a candle in her toast-and-cheese. She loved it :)

Cesi bought her this adorable outfit - and got her to wear it with a huge grin all day

In the chaos of the move, we didn't have time to plan birthday parties for the kids. Once again, Cesi saved the day when she asked if it was okay for her to make a small party for Caitlin and invite her daytime friends :) She transformed our house and made the most adorable, elaborate party any 2-year-old could want with streamers, party favors, and of course, lots of pizza, cake, and presents! Caitlin loved it... as did we!!
