Caitlin's Spring Recital

After another session of pre-ballet and dance classes at Art Underground, Caitlin was super-excited for another recital.  This one was a tap "routine" (using that word lightly) set to Supercalifragilistic.  I'm not sure if she was more excited to perform on stage in front of a crowd, wear her ridiculously cute costume or wear makeup (only lipstick, beyond that her Daddy couldn't handle it), but the whole combination was fun to watch.    She was not even a little shy, and decided to stay with her class until the end and come out for the finale (which she said was her favorite part!).

Caitlin is so lucky that so many people love her and came to support her (and called to wish her luck!).  She loved her flowers and dancing barbie and can't wait to do it again!

She lived up to her reputation from the last recital - stopping mid-routine to correct the girl next to her who was apparently standing out of place.  Ultimately the teacher stepped in and picked Caitlin up and moved her to the side so the other girl could get back in place, which made the whole audience laugh.
They won't let you video during the recital, so this one is from the dress rehearsal - but you get the point.  Not a lot of dancing in unison, but definitely a lot of cuteness
After it was over, Cate was thrilled to get flowers and love from all of her fans.
And even more excited to go out for celebratory ice cream cones with rainbow "sprinkies"
And reenact her dance moves with her barbie.
And then run laps around the house and wrestle with her brother and daddy in effort to try to work off some of the ice cream energy before bed.

She started a new hip hop class the next day, and after watching from the sidelines the whole hour, Isaac let me know that he wants to join the class too.  Stay tuned for the next double recital :)
