First - Sebastian turned 2!! The kids had a blast at the Boulder park party celebrating with their youngest cousin.
Then we had a sleepover at our house with Sebastian, Talia and Arielle, which was super-fun! Alli and Chad went away for the weekend and Jen and Max wanted to give Jaden some QT before he headed off for sleep away camp, so we offered to host everyone at our place. The girls were uber-helpful with Seb, but he's finally old enough to jump in and play with all the kids so he did great on his own. All the cousins had so much fun playing with each other that Bill and I felt like we had less to do than when it's just Isaac and Cate! We actually read the newspaper and drank coffee on Sunday morning - amazing! Here are some pics of the kids on the hammock, Cate reading to Talia and Seb before bedtime and the kids playing at the play area in the mall.

Jen and Max hosted an early bday and sendoff party for Jaden on his last night at home. For such an impromptu Tuesday night party, it was amazing that the whole family could be there, including baby Mason! We took up half a restaurant and the kids had plenty of room to run around while munching on pizza and yummy cupcakes before finally heading home around 9 (only in the summer!!).
Finally, we hosted a summer solstice/World Cup party last weekend. Alli and Chad were watching Talia and Arielle for the night and we convinced them and some friends to come over for DELISH bbq leg of lamb (bill is still testing out the features on the new bbq) and a family soccer game. The kids definitely played up the summer solstice angle and convinced us to let them stay up late watching the Lego Movie - we finally called it at 10:30 when most of them were sleeping in their popcorn.
