Week ??

Okay, so everyone has probably noticed a slow down in the speed with which blog entries are being produced, what can we say, the law is a jealous mistress. We have had several expressions of interest in ghost writing - indeed we cannot promise that this very entry was not penned by a starving author. In any event - on to the blogging...
Isaac continues to grow and really seems to be thriving at daycare, which is unsurprising given that on many days he has 2-3 caretakers charged with entertaining and caring for just him. Unfortunately, this past week his one-baby daycare situation came to an end when he was joined by Mackenzie, my friend Lisa's baby girl. They will also have the company of Adam and Silas in the next few weeks - hopefully he'll continue to do well and learn to share :)
We had a fun weekend with Papa Rich and Grandma Sherry last weekend. We took full advantage of the beautiful 70 degree and sunny weather and went to the zoo - along with a million of our closest friends who had the same idea. Nevertheless, we all had fun enjoying the weather and checking out the pandas and other zoo animals. Well, it's unclear whether Isaac noticed the animals, but we did our best to point them out. Later that night Isaac was lucky enough to have them babysit while we enjoyed another fun grown-up night out. They had fun with Isaac all weekend and then Grandma Sherry babysat on Monday while Jamie had jury duty.

We've had lots of fun with the yoga babies over the last couple of weeks. We had Genevieve, Carlos and Carlito over for dinner last weekend and had fun watching the boys play together while we drank wine and had a yummy dinner whipped up by Chef Bill. Then this weekend we had a really fun brunch with all the yoga babies and parents - it was great to watch all the babies interact and see how they are all developing. Also great to have the mommies and daddies hang out and we hope to do it again soon!

We have finally determined that Isaac is too big for our baby bath in the kitchen sink. We will still probably bathe him in there from time to time, but a colleague gave us this new duck tub to try out as the transition to the big tub. We let Isaac test it out this morning and he seemed to love it - pictures of him using it as an actual bath to come soon!!

Another milestone - Isaac sat in a highchair at a restaurant for the first time!! Taking advantage of the daylight due to the time change, we enjoyed a quick but fun dinner outside at our favorite neighborhood dive place, La Lomita, and didn't even have to trade off eating and holding him - which might mark the first time we've eaten out together as a family!!

Ok...so on last week's blog, I think it looks like Isaac is doing voodoo on the monkey! We LOVE the videos of him talking & laughing...more, more, more! We miss him so much!
