Cherry Blossoms

This was one of the more beautiful Cherry Blossom weekends that either of us can remember as long as we've been in DC - 70 degrees and sunny without a cloud in the sky. We took full advantage by spending lots of time outside enjoying the backyard, walking around eastern market, and riding bikes down to the Tidal Basin (along with a gazillion other people) to enjoy the beautiful Cherry Blossoms. We had a great picnic and then wandered around for a while to try to elbow our way to the water to get a clear view of the trees. Overall it was a great day and we all had fun.

Isaac kept inching his way off the picnic blanket as he tried to perfect his crawling skills - to no avail. He pulls himself up and seems to be on the right track, he rocks and throws himself forward, but inevitably his knees go out from under him and he lands on his belly. Frustrating to him, entertaining to us :)

Another fun part of the weekend was grown-up time with Karen and Gabe as we all got babysitters and had a really fun dinner out - and we only talked about Isaac and Colin for about half the time -honest!!
