Mother's Day fun

We had a really nice Mother's Day weekend. The Andersons came to visit and babysat on Saturday night so Bill and I could have a fun grown-up night at the Kennedy Center. We left early so they had lots of fun feeding, bathing and hanging out with the little man before putting him to bed. Here's Isaac having fun with Grandpa and his new soccer ball.

We all woke up early on Sunday morning and had a nice breakfast outside on the patio so we could enjoy the beautiful weather. Isaac and Bill got Roberta and I flowers and we all had fruit and bagels. Isaac tried a bagel for the first time, which was fun for all of us to watch, and provided A LOT of entertainment for him ...and for Wilson, as much of it ended up on the floor :)

Isaac took a good nap after that and once he woke up we all went out for brunch. Isaac traveled there in style on Grandpa's shoulders, and we had a nice time with delicious mimosa's (for us) and cheerios and watermelon (for Isaac)!!

After brunch we all walked over to watch Bill play soccer - Isaac watched intently as daddy scored and they won (3-0 so far!!)

Later in the afternoon we had a fun little backyard picnic with the Kruse family - it's fun now that the boys are starting to notice each other. Here after Isaac noticed that Colin is surpassing him in height (and weight) he clearly wanted to touch the top of his head while he could still reach :) No permanent damage done thankfully and we all had fun - except for Bill who was working hard digging our new garden (more on that next post).
