Those eyes...

This week Isaac finished his stint at daycare in my office. Well...he officially finished his post-maternity leave time, but because he loved it so much and because I love having him downstairs so much, Isaac is going to keep coming to daycare on Fridays through the summer. For the other days, Isaac is lucky enough to have his Aunt Rachael play nanny (fun stories and pictures to come on the next blog from their first week together!)

We had a really fun Memorial Day weekend with Grandma Gerri who came to visit us and to babysit Isaac overnight while Bill and I went away for a baby-free night in Annapolis to celebrate our anniversary. Isaac and Grandma had lots of fun hanging out - so much so that he missed a nap and as a result she got some bonus playtime with him from 1-3am when he proved how much he needs his schedule!! She was a good sport about it though and still says she enjoyed every minute as only a Grandma would! We also had a really nice lunch with Stefanie who was in for a wedding.

Isaac is still keeping busy perfecting his walking skills. He crawls for a few feet until he finds something fun to pull himself up on and then walks for a minute holding on and then...takes off on his own! Here is is pulling himself up to watch the washing machine and to grab for Wilson (who he is obsessed with catching all of a sudden - good thing Wilson is still a spry dog at nine!!) and just walking on his own.
He also loves reading stories (usually with his daddy, but he allows me to read to him once in a while too) and is recently very entertained by trying to deconstruct his playmat.
The rest of these pictures don't have a good story - they are just ADORABLE and I couldn't resist posting them...good thing Isaac got his Daddy's eyes - watch out ladies!!!

And finally, a picture from his 9 month doctor's appointment. Isaac is off the Prevacid and doing great. He has grown to a whopping 27.5 inches and 17.25 pounds - WATCH OUT COLIN, ISAAC IS COMING FOR YOU!!

Your mom is a SAINT! But with a smile like that, I'd be ok being woken up, too! I can't wait to see him- he is just beautiful!!
