This week we met Lisa and Mackenzie for lunch in Bethesda and then went for a long walk on the Capitol Crescent trail, enjoying the beautiful weather.
And we had a happy hour with the yoga mommies and babies at our house. It was a lot of fun to see where all the babies are developmentally and watch them play with Isaac's toys - he is such a peanut compared to them, so it was like watching the "big kids" play! We are getting to the point where the boys are noticing each other, and it's cute to see them staring at each other.
Another milestone this week - Isaac can now sit by himself!! We started by having him sit against stuff, and then with our hand for support, and now he can do it all by himself for a few minutes at a time. We have to keep a close eye and be prepared to catch him as he topples over quite frequently, but we think it's still very impressive!!
We had a fun visit to New Jersey this weekend to celebrate some Anderson family birthdays and to spend some QT with Isaac's Great-Grandma Jo. She and Isaac got along great and had fun playing, eating, and going for a walk on the boardwalk at the NJ shore.
We're still having lots of fun trying the eating thing. So far we've gotten through squash (not so popular), sweet potatoes (big hit), peas (eh), avocado (loved it), and bananas (loved it). We still have to work on our technique though, because as much food ends up all over Isaac as does in his belly!! The video below is from the first fruit taste - bananas.
